Apple has released iOS 17.2 Beta 3, which includes the return of dynamic wallpapers and the optimization of the Notes app.
It’s been a week since Apple published the second iOS 17.2 developer beta, and two days ago, Apple issued another beta update, including iOS 17.2 Beta 3.
The build number for iOS 17.2 Beta 3 is 21C5046c, and this update includes a number of new features and tweaks, including the classic live wallpaper.
The previously built-in “Live Wallpaper” category returns to iOS 17.2 Beta 3, with a variety of background colors and support for dark and light colors, and the dots will be slightly animated when the iPhone screen is turned on.
The Phone Settings screen in iOS 17.2 Beta 3 now includes a “Share Name and Photo” setting option, allowing you to choose how you want to share your contact photos and posters.
Furthermore, “Favorite Songs” will be added to the library by default in the Apple Music settings, and the new switch can be turned off.
When you launch the Photos app for the first time after upgrading to iOS 17.2 Beta 3, it asks for new permissions to allow photos to access Apple Music, Music & Video events, and your media library. This permission, which was previously enabled by default, is intended to generate more user-friendly photo memories.
The Notes app, which in Beta 3 beta allows you to add timed reminders to your notes settings, is one of the key new features in iOS 17.2.
Furthermore, when adding notes, the recommendations that appear are richer, and the iPhone will display a variety of questions, recently arrived locations, recent photos, and other content to guide users through the process of adding a note.
Users of the iOS 17 beta system are encouraged to stay current. To get an early taste of the Notes app, download the Apple Developer app and sign in with your Apple ID email to opt in to receive beta updates on the iPhone System Update screen (detailed tutorial). The editor, however, does not recommend using the developer beta version on the main machine, and the official version will be released soon.
Based on the build number of iOS 17.2 Beta 3, the official version of iOS 17.2 is expected to be released on December 5 or December 13.
